Protect, Oh Lord,
My sister’s soul …
Keep her safe
Where’ ere she goes …
And may she also always know
Oh, How I Love Her So …
I am, in heart, so proud of you … Sis
And honored, too, I must admit,
To see you standing oh, so tall
Upon This Master’s Ship …
I pray the Lord,
(Now, every day)
Gives you vision,
Clears the Way,
For you to serve
And Sacred Save
His Honor,
On this trip ….
You are, in truth, a sister’s pride
Tucked next to heart and soul inside,
Where love, I pray will long reside
Safe upon its shores …
I worry
(as a sister must)
About the danger …
(airborne dust)
Toxic fumes
And carbine Rust
Trapped in “sites”
And ancient bores …
Because the weapons
(seldom seen)
Can harm a soul
Before it blinks!
Hair-trigger actions
Never think – it was,
In hindsight, War.
And, When you trust in
Those with honor codes,
Hide inside their traitor’s clothes,
Smile with Pride what they disclose
It’s hard to trust what
Honor’s for …
But Faith must always
Persevere …
Wear it as your Cloak,
And Too your shield ..
Both in the Blind
And In the “Field”
Because it’s Honor
There you serve …
And never think
On Distant Shores
That those in charge
Are keeping score
Because only Truth
Can safe Restore
The Soul,
And Too,
It’s Dream …
A song, this Psalm, for you, I leave …
Tape my Heart upon your sleeve …
So you will always carry me
In Spirit where you go …
